The Qigong Tourism Program
The Romanian Qitaky Foundation and the Natural Therapies Center in Albesti - Curtea de Arges
"Qigong Tourism" - a tourist offer that has already proved to be successful internationally, now also available in Romania.
The international tourist market dedicated to health promotion has been constantly expanding during these last years. Both in the US and in European countries such as the UK, France and Germany, there has been an increasing demand for this type of services. In the US only, sales have exceeded USD 11.5 billion in 2001. Services such as: stress management, diet therapy, reflex therapy, herbal baths, thalassotherapy, Shiatsu, Reiki, Qigong, Taijiquan and several others are today included in the service packages of numerous resorts all over Europe, but also in other regions of the globe, such as India, South Africa and Indonesia.
The "Qigong Tourism" health promotion program is an original product based on Qigong techniques, presented for the first time in Romania by the Romanian Qitaky Foundation, in partnership with the Natural Therapies Center in Albesti - Curtea de Arges. The program includes a wide range of physical and mental exercises meant to recover and maintain the energetic harmony of practitioners, to recover and enhance their tonus and state of mind. The program is hosted by a new hotel located in a natural environment that is perfect for relaxation and recovery.
Recognized and validated by the World Qigong Federation - an organization based in San Francisco, US, that includes several Qigong masters and specialists around the world - the exercises making up the Qigong Tourism program may help anyone - irrespective of age and previous training - to high health and self-control standards in a relatively short time.
Program Description
Starting out from a well-known principle, that "diseases are easier to prevent than to cure", Qitaky Qigong exercises allow practitioners to achieve a permanent energy balance along all the meridians traveling along their bodies, whereby all the cells at all the levels of the human anatomy are better "fed" with energy.
This system is based on the ancient Chinese philosophy saying that all physiological processes in the human body are supported by the vital energy feeding the human energy system (the meridians); this energy is used and than evacuated just like any other waste in the body. When the mechanisms in the human body are no longer capable of performing a natural and continuous exchange with the environment, the energy gets blocked, it stagnates, builds up in excess or, on the contrary, develops a deficit, which are all potential causes for illness. Qigong exercises are meant to prevent, or even eliminate, such anomalies. Since stress is one of their major causes, the Qitaky Qigong program resorts to the specific methods of this ancient Chinese art in order to remove the effects of stress and improve the practitioners physical, intellectual and creative abilities.
The techniques to be acquired pursue the following goals: to activate the chakras and meridians, to develop energy sensitivity, to learn how to perform summary self-diagnosis, to practice breathing exercises, to learn how to direct the vital energy flow (Qi, read: ci), to regulate endocrine functions, to recover and maintain joint mobility and flexibility, to reach and maintain optimum body weight, to become familiar with the most effective principles of nutrition and diet therapy, to slow down the aging process.
Benefits for participants in the Qigong Tourism program.
By restoring the Vital Energy (Qi), several beneficial effects can be obtained, such as:
individual physical and intellectual performances improve, even at old ages;
the aging process is slowed down and rejuvenating mechanisms are relaunched;
diseases are easier to prevent and the risk of being exposed to accidents decreases;
the time needed for recovery after chronic and acute diseases is reduced, as a consequence of an improved biological response level of patients to medical treatments and procedures, surgery or specific balneotherapy;
emotional stability, cooperation with family members and colleagues at work are improved;
creative and intuitive abilities are improved.
